DESCRIPTION:TODAY IS GIVING TUESDAY!\n\n \n\nThank you for your continued support of Houston women! \n\nWe hope you will choose the Greater Houston Women's Foundation (GHWF) as your charity of choice this Giving Tuesday.  The GHWF is the Chamber's Foundation Partner. \n\n \n\nWith your help\, we will reach our goal of $10\,000 to benefit the Chamber's program of work in our community\, which includes Women On Board\; an initiative to increase the number of women serving on corporate boards\; providing scholarships for deserving female students graduating from Aldine\, Conroe\, Fort Bend\, Goose Creek\, Houston\, Spring\, and Spring Branch School Districts to attend a Texas college of their choice\; Entrepreneur Accelerator Institute\, a program to help entrepreneurs start and/or expand their business\, stabilize and increase their incomes\, create additional employment and contribute to the economic development of the Greater Houston area and STEAM Town USA\; an initiative to increase exposure of third grade girls interest in math and science through STEAM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Arts & Math) concepts\, improve grades and graduation rates\, and encourage girls to pursue STEAM careers.\n\n\n\n\n\nGiving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years\, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give\, collaborate\, and celebrate generosity.
