Luciana Hickman, an award-winning designer from São Paulo, Brazil, was shaped by the renowned Escola Panamericana de Arte e Design. The school’s rigorous curriculum and access to creative mentors like Washington Olivetto, Hector Babenco, and Marcello Serpa helped Lu develop unique design aesthetics, leadership skills, and a human-centered design thinking approach.
After moving to the United States, Lu continued to refine her skills at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she opened her first agency, leading a team of multidisciplinary creatives. Thanks to Lu’s “ginga”, which means “adaptability” in Portuguese, the team has fostered a creative spirit, empathy, and a “can-do” attitude.
Throughout her career, Lu has designed for prestigious brands such as McDonald’s, Hewlett Packard, Carrefour, C&A, Romero Britto, and LVMH.
